If you see littering on roads call Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department’s Litter Hotline at 866-811-1222. Give the license and make of the car, location, and what was littered. Or file a report online.
In Little Rock, call 3-1-1 or use the 3-1-1 app for Apple or Android to report illegal dumping and trash in a park. You can also call to have your own bulky trash picked up curbside for free.
Anywhere in the state, environmental hazards including illegal dumping and water pollution can be anonymously reported to the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality online or using the ADEQ app for Apple or Android. Or call 888-233-0326. For solid waste/illegal dumps in particular call 501-682-0581, and for water pollution call 501-682-0634.
The ADEQ app also lists public waste tire collection centers. To learn more about waste tire disposal in Central Arkansas visit Regional Recycling’s Waste Tire Program. Expect improvements to the system in 2018 through the new Regulation No. 36: The Used Tire Recycling and Accountability Program.
