Many birds migrate at night, passing over our homes high in the sky. For most of us, these birds go undetected, but Tyler and Mollie Ficker have set out to identify and monitor these nocturnal travelers. Join us as we hear from Tyler and Mollie about the Nocturnal Flight Call (NFC) station they've set up at their home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. From audio gear to eBird best practices, the Fickers will share about their work and some of the incredible species that have passed over their home at night. Tyler Ficker is a communications specialist for the Black Swamp Bird Observatory and a birding guide with Sabrewing Nature Tours. Mollie Ficker is a graduate student in genetic counseling at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
