Yoga is for the inflexible, the flexible, the underweight, the overweight, the graceful, the uncoordinated, the elderly, the young, the strong and the weak. The focus of this All Levels Yoga class is developing body awareness through breathing techniques and correct alignment in various postures. This class will focus on teaching and refining yoga poses. If you can breathe, (and even if you can't) you can practice yoga. Wear comfortable clothes. If you have a mat, bring a mat. If you don't have a mat, just bring yourself.
$12 per person, but FREE on your first session. Packages are available.
Registration required with Robin at yoginirobin2017@gmail.com
Meet at the Visitor's Center. If the weather is pleasant, we will potentially participate outside on the lawn.
About Robin Rasmussen:
Robin was initially introduced to yoga by a friend who took her to a hot yoga class (death by yoga) almost 18 years ago. While hot yoga is not her style of yoga, Robin found a way to help reduce the stress induced by her type A personality combined with her day job as a trial lawyer. Robin's first experience as a yoga teacher began approximately 9 years ago, when she took a teacher training class in order to deepen her own practice. She earned her first 200 hour training with YogaWorks in 2011 and after numerous workshops and additional study, completed another 200 hour training in Ashtanga with DwiPada Yoga School in December 2018. She is now working on her 500 hour Teacher/Yoga Therapist training. Robin's teaching style is traditional, but light, with plenty of room for improvisation and experimentation. Her classes often include slow, mindful movement as a way to open the body to deeper poses and meditative mindfulness. Robin believes that every pose, no matter how complex or challenging, has steps along the way that are accessible to all people, regardless of level of experience or flexibility. It is truly a journey, rather than a destination.
