Kevin Krajcir will give two brief presentations as part of this month’s meeting. First, Kevin will share photos and stories from a recent trip to Costa Rica that was organized by Dr. Ragupathy Kannan to benefit the Arkansas Audubon Society Trust. Throughout the weeklong trip, the group saw over 300 species of birds and many more iconic tropical species such as sloths, tapirs, and iguanas. Second, Kevin will present the results from the 2024-2025 MoSI bird banding project at the Little Rock Audubon Center (LRAC). “MoSI” is a study of winter survival of migrant birds organized by the Institute for Bird Populations. Kevin will share photos and data from the project’s first year.
Kevin Krajcir completed his undergraduate degree from Hendrix College in 2017 and a master’s in biology at Arkansas State University in 2022. Kevin currently works for the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission as a Conservation Biologist and the agency’s Grants Coordinator. He also serves as the Vice President and CBC Compiler for ASCA and the Conservation Chair for the Arkansas Audubon Society.
